Relationships
We live and die by our relationships. From birth we are in relationship with our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, friends and eventually lovers and partners. Relationships are formed with people who are in our lives and sometimes with people who are absent from our lives. Barry and Veronica work with relationships in all their formats. Some relationships involve multiple parties (such as a family group); or a couple fighting to keep a relationship together, while others may want to work through a relationship that has now ended. Please contact us to see if we can be of assistance to you in your relationship.
When working with adults on relationship issues we are aware that problems generally arrise in relation to communication, decision making, perceptions of commitment and expectations about intimacy. Vulnerability and problems with any or all of these issues may be making your relationship not what you expected and not what you want. However, these issues can be dealt with and the relationship you had or expected can be rediscovered. When we work with people and their relationships we use the therapies listed in our Library.

We have put links to some resources in the Resources part of our site. Also, Relationships Australia publishes a useful booklet called Partners - A guide to successful relationships. This booklet addresses issues such as expectations when starting a relationship, what it takes to have a fulfilling relationship, communication and how to recognise that your relationship might be having problems. |
